Gibsonville Robbin Alaine Bennett, 54, passed away November 7, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on February 27, 1957 in Alamance County to the late Edwin Allan Bennett, Sr. and Janie Tickle Bennett who survives. Robbin was employed with Engineered Plastics as a machine operator and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, "Butcha" and her cat, "Cassie". Survivors include her mother, Janie Bennett of Gibsonville; her companion, Barry Agnew; sons, Justin Matherly and wife Wendy and Nicholas Stewart and wife Karen, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Christopher Matherly, Chad Matherly and Autumn Stewart; a brother, Edwin Allan Bennett, Jr. of Smithville and a niece Stacey Bennett of California. She is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Allan Bennett, Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Howard and Hazel Tickle and her paternal grandparents, Benjamin and Evelyn Bennett. The funeral service will be held 2:00PM Friday, November 11, 2011 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor James Watkins of Central Baptist Church. The burial will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the mother's home.
