Richard Conklin

Burlington, NC Richard Pedro Conklin, 73, of 3612 Danieley-Waterwheel Rd. passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at his residence. He was the husband of Jeanette Meeks Conklin and was born May 12, 1936 in Alamance County to the late Lindley Lee and Annie Johnson Conklin. Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter Jeanne Gates of Elon, a son Timothy Conklin of Burlington, grandson Richard Andy Conklin and wife Becky, three beloved great grandchildren, J.B. Conklin, Justin Conklin & Brenton Conklin of Elon, and a sister Mickey Renigar of Gibsonville. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Lee Conklin. Richard donated his body for medical research to the University of North Carolina Medical School in Chapel Hill. There will be no service, the family will be receiving friends & family from 5 until 7pm on Wednesday at the home. In lieu of flowers all donations should be sent to Alamance- Caswell Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
