Rev. Wyatt Aiken, Jr.

Rev. Wyatt Aiken, 88, most recently of Burlington, NC passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. A native of Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late David Wyatt Aiken II and Lucille Crews Aiken and was married to Mary McLean Aiken, who survives. 

Wyatt was a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC as well as Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA before becoming a Presbyterian Minister. He retired from Mebane Presbyterian Church in 1998 after 19 years of service. He also served as minister in South Carolina and Georgia. Wyatt was an avid sports fan, loved playing in the senior games and enjoyed snow skiing. He was a Mr. Fix It and shared his passion for wood working with friends and family. 

Wyatt is survived by his wife of 56 years; Mary Catherine McLean Aiken, son; David Wyatt Aiken III and his wife, Misty, grandchildren; Mckensie and Daniel Aiken as well as two sisters; Lucille Aiken Moore of Ft. Myers, FL and Mary Aiken Settle of Greenville, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents; Wyatt and Lucille Aiken. 

 A service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
