Rev. Russell Glenn Faircloth, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at his residence. A native of Alamance County, he was born April 20, 1963 to the late Wallace Glenn Faircloth and Carolyn Sue Foster Faircloth McBride and was the husband of nearly 30 years to the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Langley Faircloth.
Russell pastored New Life Church of God for 10 years. He enjoyed reading, stamp collecting and music. He also enjoyed yardwork and working out at the gym. Russell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; his recently adopted sons, Robert Ray Chandler and wife Jennifer of Raeford, Dallas Matthew Chandler and wife Jessica of Florida; five grandchildren, Sebastian Chandler, Dallas Chandler, Jr., Duncan Glenn Chandler, Robert Ray Chandler, III and Jackson Gunner Chandler; mother, Carolyn Sue Foster McBride and brother, Stephen Reed Faircloth and wife Jill Renee Faircloth. He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, Rev. Odell McBride.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Russell Morris with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.
