Renn Galloway Honeycutt, Jr., 88, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Richland County, SC to the late Renn Galloway Honeycutt, Sr. and the late Melvil "Mel" Alba Montgomery Honeycutt and was the husband of 62 years to Ann Manning Honeycutt who survives. Renn retired from NOAA Weather Service in Wilmington, was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was a US Army Veteran of WWII where he received the Purple Heart. Survivors other than his wife, Ann Honeycutt, include his daughters: Margaret Mago Blake, Judith Gibson Bob, Ellen Honeycutt, Jane Digh, Therese Honeycutt Scott Plaster, and Patricia Hays Bil; a son, Bill Honeycutt Carolyn; grandchildren, Isaac Groves Joy, Rob, Dan Jeanne, Matthew Gibson, Carl Kunz, Heather Gold, David Sarah Digh, Jenna Digh Adam Ellington, Blake and Brice Honeycutt, Emilia Augello Lenny, Ryann McIntosh Bill, Amanda Jacobs, Jessica Barba Andrew, Ashley Jacobs, Samantha Jacobs, Simone Elise Honeycutt, Matthew Plaster, and Nick Fogg; 16 great grandchildren; nieces, Kay House, Peggy RemingtonTed, Elizabeth House, Ann Marie Greeson Ken, Susan Manning, Lisa Yarbrough; nephews, Mark Deborah Smith, Andy Smith, Rob Yarborough and a sister-in-law, Velma Manning. He is also survived by his extended family, Michael, Kathy and Connie Groves, Janet Parker, Walter Kunz, Peter Gold, Jeff Fogg, Walt and Marge Kunz. The funeral service will be held 11:00AM Friday, October 10, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the burial to follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
