Remona Wheeley Flynn

Burlington –Remona Wheeley Flynn, 93 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.  She was a native of Guilford County and the daughter of the late Ben and Alice Heath Wheeley.

     Remona was of the Christian Faith. She was employed for over 17 years with Boston Sandwich Shop. Remona enjoyed traveling with her sister and playing Bingo. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

     Survivors include her daughters. Gloria Truitt, Shirley Kernodle and husband, Junior and Judy Duggins; sons, Richard Rhew; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a great great grandson and sisters, Eleanor Ray and Carolyn W. Newell and a brother, Tommy Wheeley.

      A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 11:00am at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones. The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
