Burlington Reginald B. "Jack" Mangrum, age 86, formerly of McLeansville, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010. He was born June 9, 1924 in Guilford County to the late James Baxter Mangrum and Mattie Beatrice Ayers and was the husband of 59 years to Deurene Hall Mangrum who survives. Reginald was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and retired from Byrd Motor Lines. He was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge 685. Reginald was a WWII veteran serving in the Army AirCorps. Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Karen Annette Solomon Danny and Cheryl Ann Smith both of Burlington; grandchildren, Robert D. Solomon Ann, James C. Solomon Crystal, Jimmy Justice, Jr. Alison, Nicholas R. Justice, Joy L. Knighton Chuck, Misty K. Mangrum, Daryl L. Mangrum, Jr. and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Reginald B. Mangrum, Jr. and Daryl Lee Mangrum. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 6, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Randy Kidd with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215
