Rebecca Tate

Rebecca Grace Chatman Tate, 38, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at UNC Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late William Michael Chatman and Diana Burke Chatman who survives. She was the wife of 14 years to Shawn Christopher Tate of the home. Rebecca was of the Wesleyan faith and worked for UNC Lineberger Cancer Center. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces, Lindsay and Jessica and loved her dog, "Tank". She is survived by her husband of the home; her mother; a sister, Heather Bradsher and husband, Jeff of Burlington; nieces, Jessica Chatman and Lindsay Bradsher; and a nephew, Terael Thomas. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Mackenzie Grace Tate; father, William Chatman and her aunt, Becky Burke. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm, Friday, August 8, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory by Rev. Wayne Byrd with the burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home and her sister, Heather's home.
