Mrs. Rebecca Moore "Becky" Hardy, age 74, of 4609 Whitsell Brothers Rd., died Friday, February 22, 2013 at her home. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late James Minot Moore and the late Maggie King Moore and was married for over 52 years to Allen Lester Hardy, who survives. She was formerly employed with Holt Hosiery. Becky was a longtime member of Bethlehem Christian Church, where she was very active and held several different officies. She was a member of the Alamance Extension and Community Association and was formerly in the A.O. Civitan Club. Becky loved music, her cats and enjoyed gardening. She was an avid Ivan Parker fan and attended many of his concerts. Mrs. Hardy is survived by her husband of the home; a daughter, Lisa Hardy Carrell of Archdale; a son, Kenneth A. Hardy of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Emogene Moore Wallace of Elon; a brother, James Tommy Moore of Elon; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Bethlehem Christian Church by Rev. Dave Gilbert and Rev. Matthew Smith. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to Bethlehem Christian Church c/o the Marvin Wallace Scholarship Fund, P.O.
