Burlington Raymond Troxler Rimmer, 65, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2012. He was the loving husband of Gail E. Rimmer. Raymond was born in Alamance County to the late David Thomas and Ruby Fox Rimmer. He was employed by Dunbar Armored Services, worked several years at B & B Mechanical and for many years at Burlington Industries Transportation Division. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he also drove the church bus. Raymond was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Gail; son, Bradford T. Rimmer Melissa Bruner of Burlington; daughters, Janie Leigh Rimmer Bourne Bobby of South Hill, VA, Jennifer A. Sutton Christopher of Elon, Millicent L. Rhodes Brian Gilliam of Burlington; grandchildren, Ava Jane Bourne, Kaleigh E. Martin and Brady M. Sutton; sister, Marie Garrison-Bruce of Myrtle Beach, SC and a brother, Richard Rimmer of Burlington. He was loved by six nieces and his favorite nephew, Johnny Bruner. He has 12 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Rainey D. Rimmer and a sister, Bertha Dean Bruner. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ernest Beck with interment to follow in McCray Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Hills and Hollows Mission Fund, 230 Williamson St., Burlington, NC 27215.
