Raymond Hill

Raymond Lewis Hill, age 93, passed away Tuesday May 1, 2007 at Alamance Health Care. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Dorothy Mitchell Hill and son of the late Charlie Roy and Daisy Odell Hill. He was retired from Glen Raven Mills and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his son Charles Ebb Hill and wife Grace of Gibsonville; daughter, Jean Meeks and husband Bill of Elon; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents; daughters, Martha Warren and Billie Davis; brothers, Elmo Hill, Jack Hill, Howard Hill and Alvis Hill; sisters, Elizabeth Michael, Deserie May, and Iantha Bookout. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday May 3, 2007 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Don Overman. Mr. Hill will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the cemetery for services. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8 PM Wednesday and at other times the home of his daughter, 1759 Prince Edward Dr., Elon, NC Condolences may be sent to the family at info@lowefuneralhome.com
