Gibsonville– Raymond Lawrence “Ham Man” Birdsall, 64, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 at his residence.  A native of Brentwood, Long Island, he was born May 20, 1954 to the late Raymond Charles and Rosetta Norton Birdsall and was the husband of 27 years to Debra Marie Birdsall.

Raymond, along with his wife, was the owner and operator of The HoneyBaked Ham Co. in Burlington for 25 years.  He graduated from St. Johns Baptist Highschool in West Isles, NY in 1972 and the State University of NY College at Potsdam in 1976 where he received his Bachelor of Arts.  He later completed his Masters of Business at Long Island University in 1981.  He was an avid Duke fan and enjoyed playing cards with his friends.

Survivors include his wife, Debra of the home; sisters, Rosetta Whelan (Michael), Anne Santinello (James); brother, William Birdsall (Carol), three nieces and two nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Joseph Birdsall and nephew, William R. Birdsall.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 3-5pm on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
