Ray Douglas "Doug" Williams, age 68, of Osceola Rd., passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Hospice Home. A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Johnsie Greeson Williams and son of the late Porter Isaiah and Ida Belle Lynn Williams. He was a member Altamahaw Baptist Church and owner and operator of Doug's Small Engine Repair. Survivors include his wife Johnsie Greeson Williams of the home; sons, Jimmy Williams and Eddie Williams and wife LeeAnn all of Burlington; daughter, Lorie W. Hall and husband Tommy of Burlington; grandchildren, Bradley Ray Hall, Steven Ray Williams and Hailey LeeAnn Williams; siblings, Ruthie Rudd of Gibsonville, Nellie Barbee and husband Wayne of Burlington and Darrell Williams of Elon; sister-in-laws, Ann Williams and Jane Williams. He was preceded in death by brothers, J.P. Williams and Bud Williams; sisters, Gladys Busick and Doris Laase. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randy Hobbs and Rev. Walter Jones. Interment will follow in Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Williams will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8pm Monday at the residence at other times. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell; 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
