Rainey Rimmer

Rainey D. Rimmer, 60, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 19, 2008. He was born in Alamance County and was the son of the late David Thomas Rimmer and Ruby Fox Rimmer. Rainey was a member of First Baptist Church of Haw River and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sheila B. Rimmer, daughters, Rejina D. James Allen of Burlington, Rochelle D. Keith Krowl and grandson, Lil Buddy Kaden J. Krowl of Wilmington, sisters, Bertha Dean Bruner of Haw River, Marie Andy Bruce of Myrtle Beach; brothers, Raymond T. Gail Rimmer, Ricky F. Sherry Rimmer, both of Burlington and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones with burial to follow in McCray Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
