Rachel Rimmer

Elon- Rachel Solomon Rimmer, 64, of Cherry Grove Rd., went home to the Lord on Monday, August 6, 2018. A longtime resident of Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Solomon and Elizabeth "Liza" Reaves Solomon, and was married to the late William Edward Rimmer, Jr.

Rachel worked for many years with Westpoint Stevens. She enjoyed traveling to Disney with her children and spending time with her family. Although she was loved and cherished by her family, she was always quick to remind them "I love you more!".

Rachel is survived by her children, Edward Rimmer, III (Stacie), Kevin Rimmer (Tracy), Michael Rimmer (Nora) and Jennifer Rimmer; step-daughters, Sharon Rodriguez (Miguel) and Janice Rimmer Bullock; grandchildren, Amber Nicole Rimmer, Brendan, Jacob and Tyler Rimmer, Candice Rouse, Hailey Rachel and Jarrett Rimmer, Brandy and Rebecca Williams, Christina and Jessica Bullock, eight great grandchildren; siblings, Gracie Stone, Shirley Hoops and Harold Solomon; beloved niece, Dottie Hutchins. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Eddie Solomon, Thomas Solomon, Roy Solomon, Jacob Solomon, Zenkom Solomon, Stanley Solomon, Swanson Solomon, Esther Walker and Nellie Reaves.

The funeral service will be held 2:00pm on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Uston McKenzie with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the son, Kevin's, home.
