Mrs. Rachel Sutton Jarrett, age 79, of Springwood Ave., passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Hospice Home after two years of failing health. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Dwight Lofton Sutton and the late Mozelle Evans Sutton and was married for over 39 years to John Wesley Jarrett, Jr., who died in 1993. Rachel retired from Carolina Biological with over 28 years of service and attended Gibsonville Christian Church. Mrs. Jarrett is survived by her daughter, Melanie Annette Jarrett of Gibsonville; her son, Ronald "Ronnie" Wesley Jarrett and his wife, Sandy, of Gibsonville; three grandchildren, Wesley Stacie Jarrett, Shelley Adam Pugh and Josh Tasha Jarrett; ten great grandchildren, Trace, Allie and Johna Byrd, Colby, Natalie and Nathan Jarrett and Morgan, McKennzie, Skylar and Dylan Pugh; a brother, Bill Sue Sutton of Gibsonville; and a special niece and caretaker, Melba Allison of Gibsonville. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Nancy Belvin; and two brothers, Bobby Sutton and Kenneth Sutton. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, November 15, 2013 at Gibsonville Christian Church by Rev. William Baker and Rev. Bruce Church. Interment will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the doctors and staff at the Hospice Home for the tender and loving care given to Mrs. Jarrett during her stay there.
