Rachel Carnes

Graham - Rachel Diane Carnes, 51, passed away suddenly at Alamance Regional Medical Center on June 10, 2016. She was born in Alamance County on February 22, 1965 to the late Donald Ganson Carnes and Thelma Ward Carnes Rich who survives.

Rachel was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed word search puzzles, the beach and had a love for animals. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and sharing memories with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Carnes (Brandon McAdoo); mother, Thelma Rich, stepfather, Hans "Big Daddy" Rich; grandchildren, Ayanna McAdoo, Brandon McAdoo, Jr., Annaya "Tinka" McAdoo; sisters, Rhonda McAdoo (Larry), Michelle Fletcher; a brother, Roger Carnes; two aunts, two nieces, five nephews and three great nieces. She is preceded in death by her father…

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darryl Peebles with the burial to follow at Moore's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm - 1:45pm prior to the service on Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the daughter's home at 2133 Hawks Crest Ln. in Graham.

The family would like to thank the Alamance County EMS, Sherriff's Department and the ARMC Emergency Department for their care during this process.
