Mr. Quenton Leon Easley, age 85, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at his home after several months of failing health.
Born in Barry, IL, he was the son of the late Fredrick Easley and the late Orangia Anna Booth Easley and was married for over 65 years to Mrs. Rebekah Caroline Williams Easley, who survives. Quenton was an U.S. Army Veteran and served in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. He retired from Culp Fabrics with over 20 years of service and later was a driver for several years with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He loved to piddle in his workshop and his yard and made excellent sausage gravy. Quenton was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Mr. Easley is survived by his wife of the home; a daughter, Anna Bertholf and her husband, Steve, of Smith Center, KS; three sons, Ben Easley of Chapel Hill, John Easley and Zachary Easley, both of Greensboro; six grandchildren, April (Kirk) Vinson, Shane Bertholf, Joshua Bertholf, Matthew Easley, Michael Easley and Ashley Fawn Easley; and a great grandson, Elijah Vinson
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Howard Thompson. The family will receive friends following the service.
