Mrs. Priscilla Jane Johnson Buckaloo, age 74, of 7322 Burlington Rd., died on January 27, 2011 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of failing health followed by a brief illness. Born in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Alphonso V. Johnson and the late Agnes King Johnson and was married for over 52 years to Mr. Eugene Arthur Buckaloo, Sr., who survives. Priscilla graduated Gibsonville High School in 1955 and then went on to graduate from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She served as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years with the majority of that time spent at the Memorial Hospital of Alamance. Priscilla was a lifetime member of Springwood Presbyterian Church and was active in the Womens Circle and also the church choir. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Buckaloo is survived by her husband of the home; a daughter, Edith Buckaloo Berkeley of Burlington; a son, E. Arthur Buckaloo, Jr. and his wife, Gwen, of Burlington; four grandchildren, Jeremy Berkeley, Elizabeth Berkeley, Ashley Brad Geise and Emily David Wood; and two great grandchildren, Lillian Geise and Carson Wood. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Springwood Presbyterian Church by Dr. Genie Martin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Saturday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the sons home, 7318 Burlington Rd.
