Polli Swaringen

Mrs. Polli "O.D." B. Swaringen, 88, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at her home. She was born December 27, 1926 in Caswell County to the late Zeb Vance and Bertha Lee Hazelwood Buck and was married to the late Ross David Swaringen. Polli was retired from A.T. and T. and a member of Davis St. United Methodist Church. She volunteered at A.R.M.C. and was a former member of E.M. Holt Extension Club. Survivors include her son Wayne Simpson of Graham; grandsons, Chris Simpson of Graham, Jeremy Jamie Simpson of Durham and a great granddaughter Avery Simpson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; sisters, Bessie Webster and Inez Smith. There will be a graveside service 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 at Pine Hill Cemetery by Dr. Jimmy Weaver. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Davis St. United Methodist Church, 606 E. Davis St., Burlington, NC 27215.
