Phyllis Davenport

Gibsonville Phyllis Marie Buck Davenport, 80, of Gibsonville, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Peak Resources in Graham after a lengthy illness. She was born in Randolph County to the late Jackson Leon and Letha Smith Buck and was married to the late Bennie L. Davenport. She retired from Olympic Narrow Fabrics in Graham. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lane and Debra Davenport of Graham, Phil and Sherry Davenport of Wilmington, Jeff and Leslie Davenport of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Olivia, Graham and Cody Davenport; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Bob Stallings of Burlington and Jean and David Butcher of Gibsonville and her special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Marie Buck. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home and other times at the son's home, Lane Davenport, 921 Dogwood Lane, Graham. The family would like to say a special "Thank you" to the nurses and staff at Peak Resources and to Marnie and Sandra with Hospice for taking such good care of Mrs. Davenport, and also to her roommate Ms. Evelyn Mebane.
