Philip "Phil" Ogden Markham

Philip O. “Phil” Markham, Jr., 80, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Hospice home. He was born in Roanoke, VA to the late Philip Ogden Markham, Sr. and Margie McDaniel Markham and was married for 56 years to Donna McLain Markham who survives.
Phil worked as an Engineer for over 30 years with General Telephone and was a veteran of the US Coast Guard. He enjoyed Nascar racing and traveling to places with his wife, including trips to Branson, MO. Phil loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Markham of the home; sons, Curtis Markham of Graham and Jason Markham and wife, Paige of Durham; grandson, Jacob Markham and a granddaughter, Hallie Markham. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sandra Trout and Gayle Church.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. C. Allen Myers III. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30am prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
