Percy Kivett

Elon-Percy Calvin "Jack" Kivett, 83 passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Edgewood Place surrounded by his family. He was born in Guilford County to the late Percy Lee and Evie Farrington Kivett. He is survived by his wife of 59 years. Margaret Williams Kivett.
Jack retired from Glen Raven Mills as a supervisor. He enjoyed playing pool at "Woodys" and was an avid Duke fan. Jack was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret W. Kivett of the home; sons, Randy Kivett and wife, Pam of Elon and a daughter, Lisa K. Perkinson and husband, Mike of Burlington; grandchildren, Kristy (Jay) Pickard, Kristyn (Austin) Lindley and Dustin (Haley) Saul; step granddaughter, April (Justin) Qualls; great grandchildren, Shayne Pickard, Mayci Pickard, Declan Lindley and Berklynn Lindley: step great grandchildren, Hannah Qualls, Lainey Qualls and arriving in 2018, Lincoln Qualls; sisters, Clara Evans and Dot Blalock both of Burlington and a brother, Larry Kivett of Reidsville. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Shayne Kivett; his parents and a sister, Bessie Benton.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Edgewood place for their kind and compassionate care for Jack and the family.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:00 am at Alamance Memorial Park by his grandson, Dustin Saul. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
