Peggy Guthrie Rich

Peggy Guthrie Rich, age 88, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Hospice Home.  She was born in Alamance County and was the daughter of the late Herbert Taft Guthrie and Mary Allene Thompson Guthrie and was married to the late William Stanford Rich, Sr.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who truly enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, William “Bill” Rich, Jr., Robert “Bobby” Troxler and his wife Judy, Michael “Mike” Troxler and his wife Annette; six grandchildren; one step grandchild; seven great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and sisters, Claudette Stout and Nina Greeson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and four sisters, Pat Dodson, Martha McVey, Mary Smith and Lillie Holt.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 19, 2021 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Steve Loy.  The burial at Rock Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery will be private.
