Peggy McKinney

Peggy Apple McKinney, 75, of 6426 Osceola-Ossipee Rd. passed away January 9, 2008 at her residence after an extended illness. Mrs. McKinney was born in Guilford County to the late Walter Ernest Apple and Mary Mildred Mayberry Apple Sutton. She was a member of Apples Chapel Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, John Johnny McKinney of the home; daughters, Denise Riddle and her husband Eric of Valdese, Brenda Lynn and her husband David of Brown Summit; grandchildren, David Lynn, Jr., Jennie Lynn, Christopher Riddle and Zachary Riddle; sister, Linda Jones and her husband Harry of Jamestown; and brother, Jerry Apple and his wife Patricia of Elon. Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Scarlett McKinney; parents, and a brother, Leonard Apple. A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 at Apples Chapel Christian Church by Rev. C. Allen Myers III and Rev. Tim Geiger. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at Apples Chapel Christian Church.
