Peggy Ramey Garrison
Peggy Joyce Ramey Garrison, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023 at her home with her family. She was born on July 6, 1938 in Randolph County, NC to the late William Clifford Ramey and Edna Lucille Hill Ramey, and was the wife of 65 years to James Mark Garrison of the home.
Peggy was a 1956 graduate of Walter Williams High School and a graduate of Elon College. She worked for 14 years with the Burlington Police Department Training Division. Peggy was a member of Front Street United Methodist Church, a former member of the Burlington Junior Women’s Club and the Dogwood Garden Club.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed.
Survivors other than her husband, Mark Garrison include her son, Phillip Mark Garrison and wife Pam; a daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Garrison Gardner and husband, Dan; grandchildren, Michael Ryan Brown, Robert Allen Brown and wife Jessica, and Abbie Garrison Helikson and husband, Matt; great grandchildren, Hayes Mark Helikson and Robert Connor Brown; and a sister, Vickie Ramey Parsons.
The celebration of life service will be held at 10:00am Monday, September 11, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. You may send condolences to www.lowefuneralhome.com.
