Pauline Murray

Burlington - Pauline McKinney Minor Murray, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in Caswell County on July 18, 1928 to the late John Allen McKinney and Minnie Rudd McKinney Terrell Wray and was the wife to the late Ernest Lee Minor who died in 1979 and the late Elmer Eston Murray who died in 2008.

Pauline retired from Tower Hosiery. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and was a former member of Ossipee Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years. Pauline enjoyed visiting family and friends and baking her chocolate cakes.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Minor and wife, Linda, Randy Minor and wife, Vicki; daughters, Paula Crawford and husband, Mark, Cindy Wilborn and husband, Archie, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren; a brother, Hassel McKinney; step daughter, Karen Webb and husband, Mike; step daughter-in-law, Wanda Murray, and several nieces and nephews.

Pauline was preceded in death by her two husbands; parents; a son, Donnie Minor; great grandson, Christopher Jack Shipley; brothers, Malloy, Virgil, Raleigh and Luther McKinney; sisters, Eva Smith and Beulah Rudd; infant sisters, Jewell Marie McKinney and Ethel E. McKinney and step son, Gary Murray.

The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Belmont Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Janey, Rev. Ricky Lewis and Rev. Brian Minor. The burial will follow in Shallow Ford Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the daughter, Paula Crawford's home.
