Pauline Harrison

Mrs. Pauline Somers Harrison, age 88, of Burlingate Place, died Sunday, June 21, 2009 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert G. Somers and the late Lottie Smith Somers and was married to George W. Harrison, who survives. She was a longtime homemaker and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Harrison is survived by her husband of the home; two sons, Douglas S. Harrison of Elon and Norman Ferril Harrison and his wife, Gail, of Bristol, TN; and three grandchildren, W. Doug Harrison, Heather Campbell and Rusty Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and five brothers. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Alamance Memorial Park by Dr. Steve Tucker. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 Wednesday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
