Paul Nance

Burlington-Paul Thomas Nance, 86 followed his wife Doris of 65 years to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. He was the son of Wheeler and Bessie Nance of Roaring Gap, NC and was their only child.

He is survived by his son Greg and his wife Kathy of Elon, his grandchildren Ashlye Cahalan and her husband Liam of Gibsonville, NC, Tucker and his wife Stevie of Durham, NC, Hogan and his wife Jessica and his great grandson Watson of Whitsett, and Nelson and his wife Shannon and his great grandson Palmer of Kernersville.

Paul attended Sparta High School and graduated from Clevenger Business College in N. Wilkesboro, NC in 1950. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952.

He was a devoted husband, an unequaled father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was an avid golfer and introduced his son Greg to the game at a very early age, that drove Greg's career for many years. He founded Metrolina Credit Co. of Burlington in 1989 and served as its President until 2012. The company still operates today under the leadership of Greg as President for the past 6 years and Hogan as Vice President.

His long wonderful life will be celebrated with a service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor Ed Moschler. The entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:45 - 1:45 at the funeral home and other times at the home of Greg and Kathy Nance.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.
