Paul Flynn

JOSH FLYNN CW2 Paul Joshua Flynn, age 28, formerly of Burlington Rd, Gibsonville, passed away at 12:55 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2007 in Multaka, Iraq while faithfully serving his country. A native of Guilford County, he was the son of R. Deleno and Patsy Jones Flynn. He was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church where he had been a Cub Scout and Boy Scout in Troop 265. He was a 1997 graduate of Eastern Guilford High School and was active in many outdoor sports, especially snow boarding and surfing. Josh was a helicopter pilot/co-pilot with Group D, 4th Squadron, 6th Aviation in the U.S. Army serving in Iraq. He had been voted Pilot in Command. Survivors include his son, Morgan Joshua Dean Flynn of Clarksville, TN; parents, Deleno and Patsy Jones Flynn of Gibsonville; maternal grandmother, Marianne Jones of Gibsonville; uncles Jimmy Flynn of Gibsonville, Gary Jones of Florida and aunt, Susie Jones Stewart of Gibsonville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Gibsonville United Methodist Church by Rev. David Greene and Rev. Jim Bowen. Interment will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Flynn will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the Gibsonville United Methodist Church where the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday.
