Paul Ferguson, Sr.

Mr. Paul Reives Ferguson, Sr., age 85, formerly of Siler City, NC, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at his son's residence after several months of failing health.
Born in Chatham County, he was the son of the late Clarence M. Ferguson, Sr. and the late Annie Selle Brooks Ferguson and was married to the late Shirley Andrews Ferguson, who passed away in 1980.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he retired from Chatham Foods with over 30 years of service.
Mr. Ferguson is survived by his son, Paul R. "Chip" Ferguson, Jr. and his wife, Tammie, of Burlington; two grandchildren, Sarah (Jesse) Nikitin and Ezekiel "Zeke" Ferguson; and a great grandchild, Levi Nikitin. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a sister, Dot VonCannon; and a brother, Don Ferguson.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2017 at Salisbury National Cemetery by Rev. Mason Smith. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the son's home, 732 W. Old Glencoe Rd., Burlington.
