Patty Turner

Patty Denise Davenport Turner, 59, passed away January 8, 2012 at Duke University Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was born August 15, 1952 to the late James Hubert Davenport and Gladys Fogleman Davenport Turner who survives and was the wife of Wayne Junior Turner of the home. Patty loved to take care of others and enjoyed spending most of her time with her grandchildren. She had an unmatchable love for children. Patty is survived by her husband, her mother, her sons, Michael Ryan Turner and wife Shanon of Elon and David Wayne Turner and wife Jennifer of Burlington; grandchildren, Michael Lynn Turner, Luke Cameron Turner, Jacob Wayne "Jake" Turner, Mason Crawford Turner and Madelyn Brooke Turner; a brother, Randy Davenport and wife Debbie; a sister, Cheryl Waddell; special niece, Jill Waddell; special nephews, Brandon Waddell, Matthew Davenport and Marcus Davenport and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Lindsay Marie Turner; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Fogleman and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Davenport A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones and Dr. Wade Cox. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at her mother's home at 910 Greenwood Dr. in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association of 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231 and to Duke Children's Hospital of 2301 Erwin Rd., Durham, NC 27710.
