Pattie Huey

Patti Sue Key Huey, age 56, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at the Hospice Home. A native of Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Eugene and Martha Virginia Oliver Key. Patti graduated from Gibsonville High School where she was a cheerleader and member of the homecoming court. From 1977 thru 1994, she was employed by Huey's Barbeque and M.C. & Friends. She was later employed as a certified operating room technician at UNC Hospitals and later was Human Resource Director for the Glen Hotel in Atlanta, GA. Prior to her illness, she was Human Resource Director at the Snake River Resort and Spa in Jackson Hole, WY. She is survived by her son, Charlie Chester "Chet" Huey, II of Tuscaloosa, AL; daughter, Martha "Marlo" Huey Paterson and husband Mark of Atlanta, GA; sister, Vickie K. Yoder and husband Wayne of Swepsonville; brother, Kenneth Key of Mebane. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Peggy K. Allen. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday at the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery Hicone Rd., Greensboro by Rev. Joshua Gresham. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 3:30pm at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will then process from the funeral home to the cemetery for the graveside service. At other times, the family will receive friends at 1750 Powerline Rd., Elon, NC. The family would like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell for the tender care they gave their mother.
