Mrs. Patsy Ruth Stewart Hollis, age 77, of Haw River, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Hospice Home after several weeks of failing health. Born in Godwin, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dewey McKinnley Stewart and the late Pauline Godwin Stewart and was married to the late Lloyd Theodora Hollis, who passed in 1992. Patsy was a Certified Nursing Assistant and helped care for the elderly for over 30 years and she was raised in the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Hollis is survived by three daughters, Diane Johnson of Winston-Salem, Debra Charles Tilley of Graham and Ashley Setzer Borghese of the home; two sons, Jackie Rachel Johnson of Trinity, NC and David Johnson of St. Paul, NC; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and three sisters, Merle Lovick of Wade, Marsha Wrench of Dunn and Betty Smith of Fayetteville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers, D.M. Stewart, Jr., Carl Stewart, Harvey Stewart, and Jerry Stewart; and two sisters, Doris Stephenson and Peggy Leonard. The family will be conducting a private memorial service at a later date.
