Patsy Fann

Patsy Taylor Fann, of Altamahaw-Union Ridge Road passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Rev. Bobby F. Fann for 48 years; and daughter of the late Ralph Clayton and Mamie Sutton Taylor. She was a retired teacher at Altamahaw-Ossipee School and formerly taught in Archdale and Elon. While at Elon, she was elected Teacher of the Year. She was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ and a former Sunday School teacher. She was a self taught piano player, song writer and sang with the Revivalaires singing group. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Bobby Franklin Fann of the home; daughter, Robin Fann Fitzgerald and husband Rev. Sean Fitzgerald of Elon; grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Fitzgerald; nieces, Pam Patton and Janice Jobe. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Olene Webster and brother, William C. Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 7, 2014 in the Glen Raven Baptist Church by Rev. Sean F. Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Glen Raven Baptist Church from 4-6 pm Sunday.
