Patricia Owen

Patricia Murray Owen, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Granville County to the late Ocie Fraser and Pearl Glasscock Murray and was married for almost 60 years to George Owen who survives.

She was a former administrative assistant for the Alamance County District Attorney’s Office.  Pat was a faithful and active member of Grove Park Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the Bykota Sunday School Class, as well as a member of the Alamance Women’s Business Association.  She enjoyed reading, home improvement projects and her flourishing flower garden.   Pat was always with a furry companion at her side over the years, her pugs Shadrach & Meshach and most recently her kitten Molly.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two treasured grandchildren Carter and Paige who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her husband, George; son, Eddy Owen (Sabrina); grandchildren, Carter and Paige; brothers, Ocie Murray, Jr. (Deborah), Allen Murray (Wanda); sister-in-law, Wilma Owen; brother-in-law, Harold Owen (Denane); and many adored nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 8, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Marc Sanders.  The family will receive friends from 9:45-10:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.  The graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Monday at Virgilina Cemetery in Virgilina, VA.
