Patricia Kearns

Elon - Patricia "Pat" Ann Nelson Kearns, 80, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in Guilford County on June 19, 1936 to the late James Erwin Nelson and Ruby Robbins Nelson; and was the wife to the late John Recil Kearns for 50 years.

Pat was a homemaker, an excellent cook and a member of Grove Park Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and neighbor that will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Kearns Anderson and husband, Jeff; son, J. Stephen Kearns and wife, Alicia; grandchildren, Karis Kearns and Kyle Kearns; and a brother, Jimmy Nelson and wife, Pat.

The funeral service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Morton with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45pm Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

The Kearns family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff and nurses with Hospice and Blakey Hall for all their loving care and support that was shown to their mother during her illness.
