Patricia Brewer

MEBANE, N.C. - Patricia Brice Brewer, age 77, of Cooks Mill Road passed away at her home on Thursday, August 25, 2016. She was born in Sanford, NC on January 1, 1939. She was married to her sweetheart of 50 years, Steve, whom she met while they were college students in Raleigh, NC. They married after she graduated from Meredith College. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, spending time with friends, and the restoration of the Woodlawn Community Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Beaird and husband Ray of Lorton, VA, Cynthia Carter and husband Stephen of Thousand Oaks, CA and a son, Stephen Brewer and wife Christina Berg of Raleigh, NC. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Meghan, Mackenzie, Will, Madison and Stella; one great grandchild, Theodore, and other beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen D. Brewer II, parents, William and Thelma Brice and her sister, Polly Beck.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Shane Donche. The family will receive friends from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. There will be a private burial service at Buffalo-Jonesboro Cemetery in Sanford, NC.
Patricia wished her passing to be a time of recognizing those who helped her and so many others with memorials to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell and The Salvation Army.
