Mrs. Patricia Durham Brame, age 81, of Burlington, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell after several months of failing health. Born in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Winslow Durham and the late Bernice Oakley Durham and was married for over 36 years to Eugene Irvin Brame until he passed in 1987. Mrs. Brame served as a bookkeeper for several businesses including Tar Heel Drugs for which she worked many years. She was of the Methodist faith and served as a choir director for Shallow Ford Christian Church and later for First Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Brame had a love for antiques which she acquired from her father who owned an antique shop on Trollinger Street in Burlington for many years. Eventually she opened her own antique shop Lilburn, GA. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother and she loved her grandchildren very much. Mrs. Brame is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey Winslow Brame and his wife, Diane, of Durango, CO, Steven Eugene Brame and his wife, Kimberly, of Creedmoor, NC and James Franklin Brame and his wife, Ginger, of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Patricia Boettcher, Courtney Morris, Jason Brame and Claire Brame; and two great grandchildren, Caden Morris and Orien Boettcher. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
