Mrs. Pamela Pam Walker Turner, age 62, of Yanceyville, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016 at UNC Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Levi Walker and the late Myrtle Mitchell Walker and was married over seven years to Andrew Andy Sherwin Turner, who survives. She was a former employee with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Pam was a very active member of Baynes Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Sisters in Faith Sunday School Class and was the chairperson for the churchs Relay for Life. She was the Treasurer for Extension Community Association of Anderson and was a volunteer at the Caswell County Senior Center. Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband of the home; her daughter, Amy Hadwin; her granddaughter, Alyssea Hadwin; step children, Sandra Drennan and Jonathan Turner; step grandson, Ian Warwick; a brother, Wally (Sharon) Walker; her niece and nephews; and her loving pet cats. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Baynes Baptist Church by Rev. Scott Ingram. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 3:45 PM Sunday prior to the service at the church.
