Oscar Dudleck

Burlington, NC Oscar Allen Dudleck, age 77, of 705 Shawnee Drive went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 29, 2006 at the Hospice Home. He was a native of Altavista, Virginia and the husband of 54 years to Marlene Duke Dudleck who survives. Oscar and his son Alan were the owners and operators of Burlington Guttering Service. He was a member of Unity Church and a veteran of the US Army. Oscar was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his leisure time Oscar enjoyed playing golf with his friends. Survivors include his wife, Marlene Duke Dudleck of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Cheryl Dudleck of Charlotte, Kim and Anne Dudleck of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandsons, Ryan, Chris, Eric, Michael and David Dudleck; brother and sister-in-law, George and Lucille Dudleck of Burlington; sisters, Grace Shepherd of Lighthouse Point, Florida, Katie Theo of Burlington; half sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth and Wayne Aydt and Mary May all of Burlington; half brother, Clarence Matherly of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Joseph and Edna McGhee Dudleck; half brothers, James and Spencer Matherly. The funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Minister Don Jones and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Gitten and the staff of the Oncology Department at Alamance Regional Medical Center and the Hospice nurses Vanessa, Angela and Bonnie for their kind and compassionate care.
