Ora Clifton Lee, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Altavista, Virginia and the wife of the late Louis Percy Lee. Ora retired from Kayser Roth Hosiery and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ora enjoyed traveling and growing flowers, especially roses. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ora Jean Motley and her husband, Bill of Burlington; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Newton Lee and his wife, Debbie of Burlington, Limmie Garland Lee and his wife, Sue of Citrus Heights, California; grandchildren, Wendy Cottle Murphy, Cindy Lee Gardner, Charles Ronald Cottle, Jr., Kimberly Elizabeth Motley, Michael Louis Lee, Samuel Douglas Lee and Joseph Brian Lee; seventeen great grandchildren and her sister, Frances Clifton Brooks of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Elmer Newton and Bertie Alice Branson Clifton; four sisters and four brothers. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dr. Dace Lewis, Jr. and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home of the daughter, Jean Motley, 1208 Briarcliff Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
