Oliver Rominger

Oliver Vance Rominger, 77, of Haw River Hopedale Rd, passed away Sunday October 20, 2013 at his home. He was born in Belews Creek April 4, 1936 to the late Henry and Ollie Goode Rominger. Vance served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and he worked for Burlington Industries retiring after 42 years of service. On December 4, 1976 he married Rela Horton of the home. In addition to his parents, Vance was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Surviving are four sons, Mark Pierce and Janice of Lexington, SC; Scott Pierce and Felicia of Charlotte, NC; David Pierce of Elon; and Michael Rominger and Connie of Graham. In addition he had 14 grandchildren: Brandon Pierce and Mandy; Brittany, Amber, Sarah, Seth, Amanda, Kassie, Rebecca, McKenzi, and Ian Pierce; Bella, Giavanna, and Anna Rominger and Brent Boatwright. Also surviving are 2 great-grandchildren, Caden and Faith Pierce, and Mr. Rominger's sister Alpha Goode Price. Funeral Services will be 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jerry Goode. Visitation will be 5:30-6:45 pm Wednesday, burial will be held Thursday at Alamance Memorial Park.
