Olga Fantucchio

Mrs. Olga Rodriguez Cubino Fantucchio, 86, passed from "a place of peace" to be with the "Prince of Peace" at 1:40 am on Friday, September 23, 2016 at her residence, Brookdale of Burlington MC, 3615 South Mebane Street in Burlington. A life-long native of Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida, Olga came to North Carolina in April of 2015.

She was the wife of the late Roberto Cubino, Sr. and later, Louis Fantucchio, also deceased. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo Rodriguez and Cecelia Quesada, her oldest son, Roberto "Bobby" Cubino, Jr., a grandson, Randolpho "Randy" Cubino and a sister, Virginia Cabrera. Survivors include her son, Daniel Cubino and his wife, Doretta, of Burlington, a daughter-in-law, Carol Hurst Cubino of Hahira, GA, a sister and brother-in-law, Gardenia and Marcelo Lara of Athens, AL, five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Bob and Pat Ockenhouse of Burlington and Ray Lombardo of St. Petersburg, FL.

The family would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to the loving staff of Brookdale MC for the exceptional manner in which they cared for Olga over the past 17 months and to the kind team-members of the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell who offered assistance during the last weeks of her life. Memorials in Olga's honor may be made to either of these fine organizations.

The family will receive friends between 2 and 4pm on Tuesday, September 27th at Hopedale Church, 909 Deep Creek Church Road in Burlington. A Celebration of Life which will be held at Brookdale of Burlington is being planned for a later date.
