Ola West

Ola Clinton Beaver West, age 100, formerly of Pyrtle Dr. Graham passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living.
A native of Iredale County, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Clinton and Emma Walden Beaver Harris and wife of the late Malcolm L. West.
She was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Burlington Business College. She was a retired secretary with Burlington Industries Transportation after 41 years of service. Ola was very active in the Kernodle Senior Center and very accomplished in needle point, winning many local and state awards for her croqueting.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law Elsie Lee West of Burlington, grandchildren, Michael Lee West and wife Kathy of Mt. Airy and David Allen West and wife Candice of Burlington; great grandchildren, Lindsay Anne West of Richmond, VA, Caitlin Lee West of Atlanta, GA and Kalleigh Savannah West of Burlington and brother, James Beaver and wife Willie of Statesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Jack B. West.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 19, 2018 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Lay Pastor, Cynthia Ingles. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45- 1:45 Monday, prior to the funeral service and at other times at the home of Elsie West, 3404 Garden Rd. (Preston Village) Burlington.
