Octavia Driver

Octavia Victoria Morris Driver, 84, went home to be with the Lord November 17, 2008 at her residence. Ms. Driver was born April 14, 1924 in Johnston County to the late Elma and Victoria Lamm Morris. Octavia retired from Kayser -Roth after many years of service and was a devoted member of Shallowford Christian Church where she was involved in Sunday School and the Shallowford Square Dance Club. Survivors include her sons, Eddie Driver and his wife Clara of Burlington, and Tony Driver and his wife Diann of Surf City, NC; six grandchildren, Michelle French and her husband Leonard, Dawn Hammond and her husband Stephen, Angel Warren and her husband Winfred, Thomas Tad Driver, Nora Foust and her husband Mike, and Lynette Driver; four great grandchildren, Devin Hammond, Kaden Hammond, Trinity French, and McKenzie Foust; three sisters, Ruby Smith, Jean Thompson, and Connie Edwards; four brothers, Layton Morris, Leon Morris, Linwood Morris, and Milford Ray Morris. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Hubert Morris, Vester Morris, Jimmy Gray Morris, Jessie Morris, E.D. Morris, Mary Kimrey, and Juanita Witt. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2008 at Shallowford Christian Church by the Rev. Dr. Sue Perry. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at Ms. Driver's home.
