Norman Lougee, Jr.

Norman Hastings Lougee, Jr., 82, of 2524 McKinney St. passed away Monday April 11, 2011 at Alamance Regional medical Center. He was the husband of Edith Brantley Lougee and was born December 2, 1928 in Lynn, MA to the late Norman H. and Janet Camire Lougee. Norman was retired from Western-Electric and served as the football coach and later as the athletic director for the CWA. He served in the U.S. Marines during WW II and the Korean War. Survivors include is wife of the home, a son Boyd Dean Rosa Lougee of Burlington, grandchildren; Deana Ray Maskill, Scott Morris, great grandchildren; Tony Morris, Tyler Morris, Trinity Morris, and a sister Nancy Brault of Needmore, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Dana Brantley Lougee. The funeral will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Joel Jackson. The family will receive friends 5:30 6:45 Thursday prior to the funeral and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
