Norman Edwin Grill, age 78, of 901 Brookview Dr., died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Rudolph U. Grill and the late Helen Rosch Grill and was married for over 48 years to Mrs. Patricia Lorraine Christiano Grill, who survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Norman retired from AT&T with over 30 years of service and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was active in both golf and tennis. Norman is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Laura Joy Grill of Charlotte and Karen Lynne Grill-Zatuchney and her husband, Adam, of Hopatcong, NJ; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Zatuchney and Lindsay Zatuchney; and a brother, Erwin Rudolph Grill of Stuart, FL. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2011 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Paul Gabriel, O.F.M., Conv. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the COPD Foundation, 2937 SW 27th Ave, Suite 302, Miami, FL 33133.
