Mrs. Norma Hilda Thoma Brousseau, 90, of Whitsett passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Hans Linus Thoma and Hilda Becker Thoma on December 22, 1933.

Norma was a very musical person. She loved playing the piano, organ, and musical bells. She worked as manager at The Pompano Bowling Alley in Pompano Beach Florida where she coordinated a Bowling League. She was a sports enthusiast. She was a BIG fan of the Miami Dolphins since their beginning.

She was an animal lover that cared for all types of animals and wanted to make sure they were taken care of. She supported the Humane Society. Norma’s favorite saying was “God is My Best Friend ”, and she would say it to everyone. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Schmalle and Alan Brousseau. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean Zamarripa and husband Mario; grandchildren, Katrina

Morris and husband Jared, Allen Watson and wife Tara and Michael Zamarripa; Great grandchildren, Joseph Rotondi, Autumn Rotondi, Angela Rotondi, Kalib Morris, Korbyn Morris, Octayvian Rodriguez, Justin Watson and Hailee Watson; Great great grandchildren, Dante Mercado. Presley Villanueva, Logan Villanueva, Isaac Villanueva, Freja Smith and Simon Catanoso; sister Marrianne Phillips; several nieces and nephews; still living former husband; Bruce Albertson.
