Burlington - Norma Lane Blanchard Faucette, 87, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, she was born November 15, 1931 to the late Clarence Fred and Kathleen Sartin Blanchard and was the wife of 42 years to the late Coy David Faucette.
Norma Lane was a longtime member of Bethlehem Christian Church where she served as Assistant Choir Director, Pianist, Treasurer of the EverReady Sunday School Class and was a member of the Stewardship Committee and Ladies Fellowship. She was also a member of the A.O. Civitan and retired from the Alamance Burlington School System after 32 years of service before working for her son, David's lawncare business for nearly 19 years. Norma Lane was known mostly for her delicious nine layer brownstone cakes. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol DeNicola (Randy); sons, Fred Faucette (Sarah), David Faucette (Tricia); grandchildren, Christopher Agee, Brodie Hall (April), Abby Faucette and Dave Faucette; sixteen great grandchildren and a brother, John W. "Jake" Blanchard. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Debra Hall, parents and a sister, Joan McIntyre.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Bethlehem Christian Church by Pastor Todd Felkel. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 1:45pm prior to the service on Wednesday at the church and other times at David's home in Burlington.
